Coastal Archers “222”Achievement Scheme

Overview

The scheme is designed to encourage beginners and novice archers who don’t shoot competitively to help improve their archery by setting goals, although it is open to all archers.

Although we already have the GNAS classification scheme in place this scheme is designed, from a logistic point of view, to be easier, as each round is shot at one set distance with a relative small number of arrows.

The” Rounds”.

The “round” is 3 dozen arrows shot on a 122cm face and be scored using the “5 zone” scoring system.

The Awards

To claim each distance award the Archer must complete 3 rounds at each given distance with a minimum score for their bow style as set out in the table below.

Rules

1. Only one score per day can be submitted and score sheets be signed by another archer (we recommend you shoot in pairs or as a group and score each other’s arrow values)

2.  The archer shoots six sighters to GNAS standards. These six arrows must be the first arrows of the day at the distance that the archer is hoping to achieve a medal at,

3. The medals can only be claimed in order. For example, if you have just attained a green badge (20 yards) and you then achieve the score required at 60 yards you will not be awarded that medal.

4. This scheme is only designed to be shot on Club days and not at competitive shoots.

     5. Scores must be submitted on the correct score sheet. Score sheets are available to          download from the link below
